808Desk is a dashboard for music producers to manage clients, projects, songs, payments, sessions, lyrics, credits, and splits. It runs entirely in your web browser.
We collect only the data you choose to enter into 808Desk: clients, projects, songs, payments, sessions, lyrics, credits, splits, contracts, and message templates. We also store your account email (used for sign-in) and your purchase license key.
We don't track keystrokes, recordings, or anything happening on your computer outside the 808Desk tab.
You can sign in with Google, or with the email you used at checkout. The email option sends you a 6-digit code — you type the code on the sign-in page to confirm you own the address. There is no password to remember.
Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, which stores your email and account ID. The 6-digit code is sent through Resend (our email delivery provider) and a temporary hash of the code is stored briefly with our rate-limit data on Vercel KV / Upstash so the same code can't be used twice. The code expires after 10 minutes.
For Google sign-in, we request only your email and profile name. We do not request access to your Google Drive, Calendar, or any other Google services.
Your business data (clients, projects, payments, etc.) is stored in your account on Google Cloud Firestore, a managed database from Google. Per-user security rules ensure only you can read or write your own data when signed in.
808Desk also caches a copy of your data in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB) so the app loads fast and works briefly offline.
Some users may have data still stored in a private Google Sheets file in their own Google Drive from an earlier version of 808Desk. We're migrating those users to the Firestore-backed model. If your data is still in a Google Sheet, the same privacy guarantees apply — only you can access it.
Purchases are processed by Gumroad. We never see or store your credit card details. After purchase, your license key is verified with Gumroad and attached to your 808Desk account so the app knows you have access.
If you request a refund through Gumroad within 7 days, your access to 808Desk ends and your license is marked as refunded.
You can request deletion of your account and all your data at any time by emailing support@808desk.com. We'll delete your Firestore documents and your Firebase Authentication record within 7 days.
You can also revoke 808Desk's access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions if you signed in with Google.
808Desk uses browser localStorage and IndexedDB to cache your data and remember your sign-in. The public marketing pages may also set a cookie for Meta Pixel. We do not use third-party cookies inside the 808Desk app itself.
808Desk is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date above. For significant changes (e.g. new third-party processors), we'll also email signed-in users.
